THE JUNGLE CAMPAIGN EXPANSION
A new chapter unfolds for Rogue Warriors with the latest expansion, Tour of Duty: A Rogue Warriors Jungle Campaign. Players are transported back to the humid and hostile jungles of Vietnam during the tumultuous era of the Vietnam War. This gripping expansion offers a series of six intricately linked missions that cast players as members of a Free World special forces team or a larger and more formidable Communist force.
In Tour of Duty, each mission is more than just a skirmish; it’s a story of survival, strategy, and bravery against overwhelming odds. Players will embark on daring operations to rescue downed pilots from enemy territory, liberate POWs from heavily guarded camps, and sabotage Communist convoys disrupting crucial supply lines. The narrative further intensifies as the Team conducts sweeping searches through suspicious villages, secures vital landing zones, and navigates the treacherous terrain that only a jungle can offer.
The expansion introduces new game mechanics that delve deep into the asymmetrical warfare typical of the Vietnam War. Players will find themselves outnumbered but not outsmarted, employing guerrilla tactics, setting up ambushes, and using the environment to their advantage. The new rules build on the core Rogue Warriors gameplay but introduce innovative elements such as:
- Reinforcements & Reserves
- Tunnels and Spawn Points
- Booby Traps
- Air and artillery Support
The expansion also brings the era's unique military aspects to life through new Specialisations and weapons, with Players equipping their squads with period-specific firearms and gear, including M16 rifles and AK-47s. Tour of Duty is designed for players who crave tactical complexity and historical immersion. It challenges them to think like commanders of the time, adapting to rapidly changing battlefield conditions and making split-second decisions that could mean the difference between a triumphant victory and a crushing defeat.
As players navigate through the campaign, they will experience the harrowing reality of jungle warfare, where visibility is low, the terrain is unforgiving, and the enemy could be hiding just feet away.
